- Intellectual Growth: The Preschool years are a time of tremendous growth. At Camelback Holistic Preschool, our holistic, “teach the whole child,” discovery environment is designed for the way your child learns and avoids over-focusing on rote learning techniques more appropriate for older children and adults.
- Emotional Intelligence: Social-emotional learning is critical in the Birth to 5 years. By fostering emotional intelligence and social skills at this stage, we equip children with the tools to express themselves, manage their feelings, and interact effectively with peers and adults.
- Physical Well-being: Children’s physical development, health, and safety are as important as all other areas of development in our program. We model healthy living practices and teach the importance of good hygiene, a healthy diet, exercise, and rest. We provide opportunities for gross motor play in our large outdoor play space and gym.
- Creativity and Arts: Our curriculum offers diverse avenues for children to express themselves, fostering a love for the arts and encouraging innovative thinking.
- Environmental Awareness: We instill in children a deep respect for the environment, teaching them to be responsible global citizens who understand the impact of their actions on the planet. Our beautiful campus is adorned with trees, flowers, and edible plants. Children learn to plant and care for our garden and how to harvest food.

UNESCO Holistic Early Childhood Development Index (HECDI) Framework: The value of a holistic education is recognized worldwide. The HECDI states that holistic approaches greatly increase the chances that children will complete school, experience good physical and mental health, and contribute positively to their societies.
